- Banff National Park - In the fall of 1883, three Canadian Pacific Railway construction workers stumbled across a cave containing hot springs on the eastern slopes of Alberta's Rocky Mountains. - Guzoo Animal Farm - Canada's largest private zoo. Licensed Zoo and Animal Sanctuary, 403 443-7463. Open to the public all year around every day! From 9 am until dark. Touch a tiger or lion, or deer, or bear. 6 km north of the Town of Three Hills (map to Guzoo).
- Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump - Located 18 km north & west of Fort Macleod, Alberta, Canada at a place where the foothills of the Rocky Mountains meet the great plains, one of the world's oldest, largest and best preserved buffalo jump's known to exist -- Head-Smashed-In. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981, Head-Smashed-In has been used continuously by aboriginal peoples of the plains for more than 5,500 years.
