West Edmonton Mall
Children can have lots of fun at North America’s largest shopping centre. West Edmonton Mall is home to an ice rink, two 18-hole mini-golf courses, bowling, billiards, bumper boats, California Sea Lions, an underground aquarium and many more attractions. It’s also the home of World Waterpark – a tropical indoor paradise – and Galaxyland – the world’s largest indoor amusement park.
Toddler Time makes a great play-date! Children five years and under can have a blast at Galaxy Kids Playpark – a large play area with slides, caves and ball pits – or splash around at World Waterpark during Toddler Time! Available Monday to Thursday, noon to 3 p.m., the program admission is only $10 per child.
And now children five and under can also learn to skate at the Ice Palace with an accredited free-skate coach onsite for instruction! Available Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. to noon, the program admission is only $3 per child.

With over 800 stores and services in the mall there are several stores that offer children’s clothing, accessories, furniture, toys, bears, etc. Fun for the whole family.
Plan to spend at least one day here probably two to three days if you want to visit the attractions. Stroller rentals are available. West Edmonton Mall is open year round.

Jurassic Forest and Learning Centre
Jurassic Forest is an educational and entertainment facility aimed to teach kids about the forest, the past, and especially dinosaurs. Our facility is located in 40 acres of natural, old growth forest. Throughout the forest, we have 2 km of wooded walkways with numerous robotic, life-size dinosaurs on both sides of the trails. These dinosaurs move, make sounds, and are very life-like. We also have a small interpretive centre with displays, as well as a gift shop and small concession. We are located just north of Edmonton, near the town of Gibbons.

Art Gallery of Alberta
The new Art Gallery of Alberta is now open. Experience new exhibitions, inspiring spaces and fun and fascinating events for all ages.
On the ground floor is the BMO World of Creativity. The theme is now Play on Architecture.
Children can play with giant building blocks to create 3-D structures, and also build their own architectural designs with modern technology.
Its an interactive, hands-on space where children and their grown-ups can explore their creativity. Also check out Tours for Tots ages 3-5 on Wednesday mornings.

Muttart Conservatory

John Janzen Nature Centre
Discover nature in the city at John Janzen Nature Centre. Located next to Fort Edmonton Park. The newly-renovated John Janzen Nature Centre takes visitors for a walk on the wild side with programs, events and interactive exhibits designed to promote awareness with nature in an urban setting. The new Tegler Discovery Zone is an indoor play area that recreates local wildlife habitat. Crawling and climbing structures are designed for children up to age 10. Interpretive play structures include a birch tree, a squirrel midden and a bee hive.
Exhibit room and live wildlife exhibits such as salamanders, garter snakes, and frog. Take a self guided hike on 4km of natural trails through the river valley. Programming for small children, family and adults.

John Walter Museum
John Walter was one of Edmonton’s early entrepreneurs and played an important role in the development of Edmonton. The John Walter Museum displays the three original homes of John Walter. Woodlands Water Play Park
A Splash of Fun for the Whole Family
Looking for buckets of fun on a hot summer day? The newly renovated Woodlands Water Play Park gives the young of age and young at heart a chance to cool off in a medieval-themed spray park.
Attracting up to 2,000 people per summer day, the park is one of the largest zero-depth spray parks in North America. The 1,100 square metre splash pad is divided into three individual play zones with 21 spray features, including a super splash bucket that holds and releases 50 gallons of water.
Complete with beach volleyball court, playground, picnic area and concession, the park is one of the most popular summer destinations in the city. It's a priceless option on a sunny day -- open free of charge to residents and visitors from all around!
Gates open from 9:45 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. Water features are on, weather permitting, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
