Fort Edmonton Park
It’s living history at its best at Canada’s largest living history park! Four eras are featured: 1846 fur trade, 1885, 1905, and 1920’s.
Ride the carousel and Ferris wheel at the 1920’s midway, ride the steam train and streetcars, help make bannock and learn about fur trading. Activities for all ages.
Fort Edmonton Park has lots of special events so check website for details for events for Easter, Canada Day, Christmas and so much more.
Hotel on site during summer months. Children’s Day Camps available for children during holidays such as Christmas, Spring Break and summer. Wheel chair accessible, washrooms, first aid, food services, shops and souvenirs, ATM. Located in the river valley.

Royal Alberta Museum
Royal Alberta Museum is closed, effective March 17, 2020.
Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta's Chief Medical Officer of Health, has recommended during the latest COVID-19 update that gathering spaces in the province be closed. Museums, historic sites, interpretive centres and the Provincial Archives of Alberta were included in that recommendation.
Memberships and Bookings
- This closure includes any programming or Facility Rentals.
- Current facility rentals will be cancelled or postponed. No future bookings are being taken at this time.
- For those patrons with Mammoth Passes, we will be issuing an extension to your pass.
- For those patrons with Experience Alberta History passes, we will be issuing an extension to your pass.
The safety and protection of our patrons and staff are of primary importance to us. Please watch our website for future updates regarding our facility.

The Royal Alberta Museum (RAM) is the largest museum in western Canada and, one of the top museums in Canada. Located in the Arts District in downtown Edmonton, we collect, preserve, research, interpret, and exhibit objects and specimens related to the heritage of Alberta's people and natural environment. The museum's expansive permanent galleries feature engaging exhibits complemented by internationally touring features.
The Children's Gallery is an amazing place to have fun! With 7,000 square feet of interactive exhibits, discovery areas, and creative spaces, this space appeals to the young and young at heart. Huge floor to ceiling windows, vibrant graphics, and colourful exhibits create a rich, welcoming environment that will engage the senses and inspire curiosity in a fun way.

Rutherford House
The former home of Alberta’s first premier, Alexander C. Rutherford. This restored beautiful brick mansion, near the University of Alberta, recaptures the spirit of Edmonton in 1915. Restaurant and gift shop.

Telus World of Science – Edmonton
Edmonton’s space and science center features five interactive mind-boggling galleries. Walk through the human body in The Body Fantastic, solve a mystery in Mystery Avenue gain an understanding of Mother Nature in Greens’ House, and explore space in every dimension in Space Place. See a planetarium or Imax show.
The center offers several camps and courses especially during school breaks. Gift shop features space and science related items great for tween gifts. Great activity for rainy days. Open year round.

Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village
Award winning outdoor living museum tells the story of the settlement of Ukrainian immigrants to east central Alberta from 1892-1930. Costumed role players in historic buildings including one room schoolhouse, general store, churches, houses, etc. Wagon rides. Several special events and activities during the summer season. Summer day camps available for children.

Valley Zoo
Home to more than 100 exotic, endangered and native species. The Valley Zoo offers several interpretive programs and special events throughout the year to enhance your visit.
The zoo offers several day camps and courses during the year particularly geared towards children during school breaks.

West Edmonton Mall
One of the World’s largest shopping and entertainment complexes. Tweens will be kept busy for days. Galaxyland has a number of rides for tweens, check for height restrictions. The World Waterpark has a giant indoor wave pool, lots of slides and hot tubs to keep your kids entertained. There is an NHL size skating rink, indoor mini golf, and Sea Lion’s Rock the home to three California Sea Lions. There are nine attractions to choose from. There are also several cinemas.
With over 800 stores and services in the mall, there are many stores catering to the tweens for clothing, toys, stuffed animals, sporting goods, jewelry etc. West Edmonton mall is fun for the whole family.
West Edmonton Mall is open year round.
