There is so much to see and do at the Art Gallery of Alberta (AGA) for Alberta Culture Days, Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30, 2012.

Your AGA is offering FREE admission to the first 150 people who come to the Gallery on both Saturday and Sunday. While you’re here take in an exhibition tour with our knowledgeable staff.

Current AGA exhibitions include

Misled by Nature: Contemporary Art and the Baroque, The Automatiste Revolution: Montreal 1941-1960, CATHERINE BURGESS: Absence | Presence and 7 YEARS IN THE CITY: Art from the AGA Collection. Try your hand at printmaking with Edmonton artists Nicole Galellis and Paul Freeman, or create your own custom button to show off your flair for fashion.

In partnership with M.A.D.E in Edmonton, your AGA is also hosting a LEGO competition on Saturday, September 29. Create your own Edmonton landmark, and you could win a highly covetable piece of golden LEGO! Registration is required for this event—visit youraga.ca/culturedays to sign up.

On Sunday, September 30, at 2 pm join us for a FREE presentation by the curators of the major fall exhibition Misled by Nature: Contemporary Art and the Baroque.

Also on September 29 and 30, Shop AGA is hosting a Book Fair, so you can celebrate Alberta Culture Days with a great discount on AGA publications from past and present!
